Marketing Plans for Sunshine Coast small businesses

Whether you’re a start-up, a sole trader, or a small business on the Sunshine Coast, having a marketing plan will provide you with direction and confidence to grow a successful and sustainable business.

My process when developing your small business marketing plan

“Bindi, I need your help to develop a marketing plan for my small business!”

Developing a successful marketing plan for small business is a really collaborative exercise. I need to have a solid understanding of you and your business before I can get started and throughout the process, I like to check back in with you to make sure you’re comfortable with where the plan is going. Afterall, if it makes no sense to you, it’s not going to be helpful to you!

STEP 1: Discovery Session

After we’ve agreed to work together, I like to set up a Discovery Session, either in person or via a video call. Here, I like to really get to know YOU and YOUR BUSINESS. Why does it matter that I want to know about you? Because YOU are the passion and the driving force behind YOUR business. It is through your years of experience, knowledge and passion that you’ve been able to set up your own business and often this contributes to your MAJOR POINT OF DIFFERENCE or your UNIQUE VALUE PROPOSITION.

STEP 2: Developing your Value Proposition

Before I get too far down the track of developing your marketing plan, I like to develop your VALUE PROPOSITION. Your Value Proposition clearly articulates why someone would want to buy from you/do business with you, rather than a competitor.

Once I have a solid draft Value Proposition, I like to get your feedback and see how it makes you feel. Developing a successful marketing plan

STEP 3: Developing the Marketing Plan

After we’ve settled on the Value Proposition, I get my teeth stuck into developing your small business marketing plan. Depending on your business objectives, how long your business has been operating, budgets, and a range of other factors, marketing plans could be a simple 3 month plan up to a more detailed 12 month campaign plan.

Once I have a solid draft plan, we’ll get together again (either in-person or via a video call) so I can run your though the plan and make sure you’re comfortable with it. I’ll then use this feedback to refine, adjust and then deliver the final marketing plan.

STEP 4: Executing the Marketing Plan

Not all sole traders or small businesses require my help at this stage, but I do offer this as an additional service. We can also work together to “chunk it down” and work out which parts of the plan you’re comfortable executing yourself, and which parts of the plan you’d like my help with.

How can I help you?
